The short list on the left of this window provides links to some of the main methods associated with clay and mineral analysis. We have tried to highlight the key features of each method, which we hope will allow you to identify what methods of analysis may be most appropriate for your samples.

Of course this is a brief overview, and if you do not see the technique you are interested in or you require further details please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your requirements.

For some of the problems that you are trying to solve or the questions you want answered about your sample a multi-technique approach using several different methods may be appropriate and we are happy to advise on how you can get the most out of our services.

Many of our methods have been developed through our allied research activities, many are also accredited by UKAS to ISO17025, and The James Hutton Institute has ISO9001 accreditation.
